Description: Picture of three blind people crossing street, framed in
outline of Minnesota. The National Federation of the Blind of Minnesota
(NFBM) is the state's largest and oldest organization of the blind. We
provide individual counseling, advocacy, and education through a number of
programs. Most of our members are blind, and our knowledge of blindness
comes from our personal lives and our collective experience. We have learned
that the real problem of blindness is not loss of eyesight, but the fear and
misunderstandings that surround it. We believe that, if given training and
opportunity, blind people can live full and productive lives.

The Minnesota Bulletin <http://members.tcq.net/nfbmn/bulletins/index.htm>
is the quarterly publication of the NFB of Minnesota. It contains the latest
updates on issues that affect blind Minnesotans, announcements and
information about NFB meetings and conventions, and thought-provoking
articles about the lives of blind people.

To improve adjustment-to-blindness training options for blind people in
Minnesota, members of the National Federation of the Blind founded
Blindness: Learning In New Dimensions (BLIND), Inc.
<http://www.blindinc.org> in 1986. BLIND Incorporated has training programs
that help people of all ages to gain the skills and confidence they need to
be full and productive members of society.

There are several ways to keep up with, as well as interact with, the most
active group of blind people in Minnesota:
