[Nfb-editors] How would this work

We do everything up front and on the phone. So folks involved know what
is going on. We just want more people to join in.

A newsletter is not a thing for the division. As I said we are active and
the only thing a newsletter would be good for is repeating what has
already been talked about in classes, Monday Night Chats or on our email list.
Our members are in touch with each other on a weekly, daily or as much as
they want to be, via telephone, email and in classes.

I might publish one article a year in an affiliate newsletter. But I should
think Krafters' Corner would be better off to produce its *own*
newsletter.

Subject: [Nfb-editors] How would this work

I would like to ask all of you a question and would like to hear your
thoughts on this. Here in CT we have our affiliate newsletter and it does
have articles from folks in the state. As editors do you prefer to keep
articles related to your area in your newsletters? Do you have a limit
on word
count for your articles?

I am the President of the NFB Krafters Division and I am interested in
getting the word out about what is being done in the division by our
members.
The division is 5 1/2 years new and I want to get the word out to more
blind folks. Can articles on divisions be sent to this list to be used in
the affiliate newsletters?

We have had a few articles in the Braille Monitor in the past, but I would
like to reach out to more blind folks.

NFB Krafters Division[Krafters Korner] in 2013 offered 62 different
crafting
classes taught by blind crafters via telephone conference calls or emails.
We have had lectures and discussions on sewing machines, basket weaving,
craft tools, how to set up for a craft show, picture taking of your hand
made items, different ways of displaying, knitting machines, labeling
supplies, etc.

We are a very active division.

Would you consider an article about NFB Krafters Division and would you use
it in your state newsletters?
