[Nfb-greeley] CcB trip and more.

Hi all,

I agree with all that has been said on this topic.  We do need to honor our 
commitment to the Senior Center, and seeing as how the notice of next 
month's meeting has already been published in the newsletter, I think we 
should meet there in February.  With that said, however, everyone at this 
last meeting was on board with the idea of planning and executing a trip 
down to CCB.  The more time we have to plan, the better we can work out all 
of the logistics that go into planning such a trip.  If the CCB stated that 
April would be a better time for us to come down, then this might be the way 
to go.  As far as our discussions on doing something here in the local 
community, we can more easily plan and implement an activity in either March 
or May if the rest of those on the board and in the chapter agree. 
Thoughts?  Questions?  Opinions not other wise expressed???

We need to plan this trip. Diane is going to check on the cost if we have to 
rent a vehicle. Then we need to know how many people are willing to share 
the cost. Also remember I make the meeting date a month ahead that is why we 
are already scheduled for Feb. If we are going to wait for March, I need to 
know by the 9th of February as that is when I need to reserve a date for the

As a chapter, most of us agreed.  So now we all need to say yes or no to the 
trip in february.
Here are some thoughts about the logistics of the trip.
1. we need to rent a van, and or have a couple of drivers with cars that 
will take us down.
2. we will need to honor our comitment to the senior center.
The chapter has no debit card or credit card of any kind.  That also needs 
to be considered.
They would love to have us and they would love to provide jayson a tour of 
the center even on a saturday.
If we want to go to a chapter meeting or even a state board meeting.  I 
suggest that we plan it more and do it on another date and month.
This way we can nail down logistics, and not rush to pull it off.
I would like to hear from others  I am not going to make the decision.
If we decide to postpone the trip, and do it later.  I think that the 
chapter board can work on planning it.
The board is: marty, diane, linda, cody, and myself.

As Linda told you, we really do need to honor our commitment to the Senior 
Center as we do have that meeting scheduled, and it has been published in 
the monthly bulletin.  There is no urgency in going to the Center and as 
Linda suggested, it would be good to go when Jason can see the Center in 
operation.

Hi all.
On saturday we discussed going to the CCB(colorado center for the blind) 
next month.
Well, i have traded e-mails with brent the denver chapter pressident.
He was thinking that march would be better, then he checked his calendar and 
next month would be better.
Now this brings up another problem.  We have already scheduled a meeting at 
the senior center for the 25th.  I am pretty sure that its been placed in 
the bulletin.
I don't want us to lose the room there.  Any ideas of how we handle this 
conflict?
Next, is the transportation.  Jayson has graciously vollunteered to drive. 
The diffecutly is getting a van.
I am unable to rent the van, and the chapter has no card to do so either.
If we can work these details out, the denver chapter will very happy to have 
us join them.
I am open to suggestions and ideas.
By the way it was a very good chapter meeting on saturday.
Diane please get a card and may be a bear or something out to bill fuller 
who fell and injured his shoulder.
