Hello Everyone,

Below is a current update on our plans of hosting a meet the blind month
activity at UNC. Ann, the DSS director at UNC is very excited to work with
us. October 1st will be a Saturday, and Ann is interested in knowing how
many of us will be able to demonstrate/handout literature at the table.

Here is the information for the Community Fest. I think participating in
this sounds like a great plan!

It's not too late to reserve a booth at Community Fest from 10 a.m.-1 p.m.
Saturday, Oct. 1, on Michener Library's west lawn. A huge success the past
four years, Community Fest is an opportunity for the campus and entire
community to engage in educational, interactive learning activities and
demonstrations.

The campus community is invited to get creative and develop an interactive,
hands-on activity or learning demonstration to showcase your program,
research or expertise. More than 40 community and UNC organizations have
already reserved their free booth space and are getting ready to bring their
enthusiasm and energy to the event.

Join your colleagues for food, fun and entertainment. Then, stick around for
the 1:05 p.m. kickoff against rival the University of Northern Arizona.
