Greeley Chapter Meeting of the NFB

Meeting called to order - 7:00pm September 21, 2017

 

Attendance: Linda Anderson (treasurer), Melissa Green (board member), JJ Argon (president), Casey Schuler, Dora Lopez (vice president), Ashley Neybert, Razz Terizzi (secretary), Cody Bair

Fund Raising

King Sooper's cards: email Melissa with how many cards you want and the amounts. graduate56 at juno.com Melissa has not ordered yet.

Bill's card - $10

 

Community Fest, Saturday September 23, 2017, at University of Northern Colorado from 10am to 1pm between Candeleria and Michner library. JJ, Razz, Dora, and Casey will be in attendance at the booth. JJ will take booth visitor names/emails in case they are interested in more information. Dora will bring literature to give out. We will bring notecards and brailling supplies. Melissa will send raffle tickets (Amazing Colorado Raffle). Melissa will create a form for table visitors to fill out for King Sooper's gift cards. Dora will bring a gift card to show table visitors. 

 

Amazing Colorado Raffle - October 28 (at state convention). Prizes: 1st - $2500, 2nd - $1000, 3rd - $500. Tickets are 3 for $20, 1 for $10, tickets can also be purchased online. Goal is to grow the raffle this year. Attendance at convention is not required to win a prize. 

 

State Convention: October 26 to 29, Ft Collins at the Hilton. Congratulations to Dora and Ashley, our state scholarship winners. Planned attendees: JJ, Razz, Casey, Melissa (if doctor approved), Dora, Ashley, Cody, Casey. Linda will order some gift cards to give away as door prizes. JJ will look into door prizes from local coffee shops. Chapter assisstance: definitely for JJ, Razz, Melissa, maybe for Casey if she joins the chapter. $25 per member is being given to each member for the convention by the Greeley chapter. Cody brought up having a game hosted by the Greeley chapter on Friday at hospitality night at the convention. Cody went over the convention schedule. Preregistration is open now at $110 for all convention meals and events. Price will go up after October 13. Razz may have to miss Thursday and Friday. JJ will give her president's report on Saturday.

 

Next meeting will be October 21. Dora is reserving a room at the Centennial Library from 1pm to 3pm. We will discuss relocating the meeting place at a later date.
