[Nfb-greeley] Important, Please Reply To All: August Meeting, Movie Night, and July Minutes

Hi All!
I hope everyone is doing well! This email is going to be long and detailed. Please read it through and select "reply all". 
For our August meeting, we had discussed doing a meeting and a movie afternoon for the chapter. Unfortunately, the 25th will not work. There are a couple of alternatives I can think of. 
  1. We have a conference call this Saturday, the 18th, and do the movie afternoon in early September. 
  2. We have the meeting and movie night at the Blindy Commune this Saturday, the 18th. 
I would like to have the meeting this Saturday, if possible, so we can get moving forward on our Vision Fair. 
Speaking of the Vision Fair, the July minutes are pasted below. They include details about the fair, which will be Saturday, October 13th, from 11 to 4 at the Double Tree Hotel. At our June meeting, we had had the following ideas. 
  * Linda will be the contact for RSVP. She also volunteered to reach out to the Colorado Talking Book Library and Radio Reading Service. 
  * I, JJ, will reach out to DVR and CCB. 
Any other suggestions of vendors would be greatly appreciated!

Meeting July 21st, 2018

Call to order at 10:40am

Treasurer's Report: $364.91 including dues and Linda's King Sooper card. We have 9 outstanding KS cards worth $5 a piece. 
May and June Minutes: approved. 

Vision Fair
We are pushing it to Saturday, October 13th, from 11 to 3. We'll reserve the room from 10 to 4. 
Melissa will look into a free room at the Double Tree. 
We decided to make this event a Meet The Bl/NFB Fair/Vision Fair. 
Melissa will contact Lisa about the affiliate donating convention registrations. 
JJ will resend the June minutes, which detail who was going to contact which vendors. 
We'll discuss catering options at the next meeting. 
Our priority is to get the room reserved, so that next meeting we can start advertising. 

Chapter Communication
Due to trouble with the list serve, JJ will create a group email. Make sure to click on "Reply All". 
Melissa will get in touch with the listserve coordinator. 
We discussed the chapter's web site, including meeting information, a "contact us" page, an "events" page, and information about the NFB. Melissa will get Lorinda's information to Patrick. 

National Convention Reflection
We decided that after the Vision Fair, we'll work on a fund raiser to get all of Greeley to Convention.
