Open letter to:
Dear Counsil Persons, decision makers and Mayor Hannemann.

According to the Handivan Administration, a single one way ride per Handivan
costs the city $38.- per person. With a free personal care attendant it
would cost the city or taxpayer 76.- per one way ride. Therefore: Only 1
single 2 way Handivan ride with Round trip and PCA is costing the taxpayer
$152.- or $132.- more than a yearly $30.- senior or disability bus pass! So
please save the taxpayer money and give us, the disabled wheel chair,
walker, cane persons and Handivan Pass holders their free bus ride back
which you are foolishly discontinuing as of June 30th. 2009 on tax payers
big expense.

It is inconvenient to make reservation for the Handivan 2 days ahead. Do you
really want to waste all the expensive wheel chair ramps and training you
put into our wonderful buses? The decision makers certainly did not learn
their math from me, otherwise they would not show their ignorance and
hostility against the already poor and disadvantaged lonely handicapped and
lose such big money and their reputation in the process.

One can see many unused Handivans at at least on North King and on Middle
Street, maybe on more locations. Who was paid off to get all those Handivans
on big poor tax payers moving again???

We need to go to doctors, shopping and other places to stimulate the economy
again! Why deny us that necessity and simple favour! Your hostility against
us also shows by not fixing the sidewalks at Magellan Avenue and the Access
to the to the Bus stops at Pele Street and Dole Park, even though our city
has an ordinance on the books that a sidewalk must be installed within 1
year after a building is finished!!! I personally invoked it as former
president for the 75 unit Magellan Condo. PLEASE HELP US!!!

With my true LOVE of ALOHA to ALL
H.-G. Pink
