Sylvia Maureen Abernathy, 75, of Holualoa, Hawaii, an advocate for the
blind, died.

She was born in Morganton, N.C. She is survived by daughters Sherron
Rosenberger and Barbara Sangerman, sister Priscilla Watts and a
grandchild. Services: 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Mokuaikawa Church,
Kailua-Kona. Burial to follow at West Hawaii Veterans Cemetery. In
lieu of flowers, donations suggested to National Federation of the
