Aloha,

 

I’m following up regarding Bill 28 (2017) – RELATING TO PUBLIC TRANSIT. Bill 28 would increase TheHandi-Van fare from the current $2.00 per trip to $4.00 per trip by July 1, 2020. A Special Budget Committee hearing is scheduled for Tuesday, May 16, 2017, starting at 9:00 a.m. There are several items on the agenda, including Bill 28.

 

Attached is the hearing agenda and a copy of a proposed CD1 to Bill 28 submitted by Councilmember Brandon Elefante, which amends Bill 28 by removing the language that incrementally increases the fare up to $4.00 per trip by 2020 and replaces it with language that increases the fare onetime to $2.50 per trip starting January 1, 2018.
