Passing along info.

HART (Hawaii Authority Rapid Transit) announced their launch of the
HOLOCARD, a plastic pre-paid card that you will use to catch TheBus,
TheHandi-van, and one day TheRail, instead of cash or coupons.

Here is what their website is announcing.

ANNOUNCING THE LAUNCH OF HOLOCARD.NET

The City & County of Honolulu is announcing the launch of www.holocard.net
It's the first step in transitioning to the brand new HOLO Card payment
system for riders of TheBus and eventually, passengers using the
TheHandi-Van and the Honolulu Rail Transit System.

JOIN THE HOLO CARD TEST TEAM! It's so easy to do!

As part of the rollout, the HOLO Card is seeking volunteers to join its
pilot test program.

Beginning today, people interested in becoming a HOLO tester can go to
www.holocard.net and sign up to be a pilot tester.

Once accepted, you'll receive an email to notify you that you are an
official HOLO Card tester! Adult users will receive a card in the mail.
For senior and youth testers, beginning on December 1, they can register to
get a card by visiting TheBus Pass Office at the Kalihi Bus Transit Center
on Middle Street.

Youth HOLO Card Pilot Test Program

The HOLO Card call center will also launch on December 1, allowing test
riders who are not able to utilize online support, to get assistance by
calling 808-768-HOLO or, 808-768-4656.

You could win an iPad Mini!

Pilot testers will report daily as to where they get on and off TheBus for
each of their trips. Testers who report more than 25 trips over a the three
months of the pilot will be entered into a drawing to win an iPad Mini,
donated by HDR Inc.

During the first month, pilot testers will be able to load a pass or value
on to their HOLO Card only through the online option but, beginning in the
early part of the new year, both retail and Satellite City Hall options will
also be available.

Pilot testers can also visit www.holocard.net to explore additional transit
fare purchasing options that will develop over time.

We look forward to a successful pilot and thank you for your interest in the
HOLO Card!
