Book Talk: Food and Power in Hawai'i: Visions of Food Democracy 

 

The Library for the Blind and Physically Handicapped is inviting you to a
FREE book talk on Monday May 20, 2019 at 2:00 pm.  

 

Please join us and meet the authors Dr. Aya Hirata Kimura and Dr. Krisnawati
Suryanata of the University of Hawaii. They will be discussing their book
"Food and Power in Hawai'i: Visions of Food Democracy,"  which proposes new
ways of looking at food policy and practices in terms of social justice and
sustainability.

 

The library is located at 402 Kapahulu Avenue, just behind the
Waikiki-Kapahulu Public Library.

Seating is limited.  If you would like to attend, please RSVP by calling
733-8444 as soon as possible. Deadline is May 19, 2019.
