FREE Film Screening of Feeling Through - the first film with a deaf-blind
actor in a lead role!

A chance encounter with a deaf-blind man in New York City inspired
filmmaker Doug Roland to write and direct *Feeling Through,* the story of a
teen wandering the New York streets and the bond he strikes with a
deaf-blind man needing help to get home. *Feeling Through* features the
first actor with both hearing and vision loss to play a big-screen lead.
The Helen Keller National Center (HKNC), Comprehensive Service Center for
People who are Deaf, Hard of Hearing, or Deaf-Blind, and the Hawai'i &
Deaf-Blind Project are collaborating to screen the historic, 18-minute film
and a short documentary on its making. Following the film the director
Roland then joins members of the local Deaf-Blind community in a
discussion. Both films are open captioned. ASL interpreters and audio
description will be provided. Screening Is FREE!!!!
