[Nfb-idaho] quiet cars starting to sound off!

Hi to all.
My son called last Sunday to tell me about a segment of a TV car magazine 30 minute program, which I do not know which one. I just know it was on Sunday morning.
The TV program did one of its three segments on a "add on" unit for quiet cars reproducing an engine sound related to the revolutions of the motor. The faster the engine is running, the faster the simulated motor sound is, so we could judge what the car is doing as we used to when we could hear them.
The company making these is a E.U. very powerful auto maker, including some of the very best open wheel race cars in the world.
This company is named "Lodess."
Lodess says this unit goes behind the grills of the cars, and then plugs in some how.
They said it wasn't hard to install at all.
This is a huge step forward for us. Many of us in the nfb have put in serious time and efert working on this issue.
I was asked by the head of the nfb committee on quiet car issues if they could read a letter I wrote about quiet cars.
They are going to read it in Geneva Switzerland at a U.N. committee meeting on the quiet cars issues world wide.
What an honor!
Think back, and remember that for the first three years when we the nfb try to talk to people that mattered dealing with the quiet cars no one would even respond to us.
Now the auto makers are meeting with us, and we are going to have our second international meeting in Switzerland dealing with this.
Plus we now have a very well thought of prestige's car manufacture already making a add on unit for the cars that are already made.
As they say, "You have come a long way baby."
"We can do together what we can not do alone."
"We know who we are, and we will never go back!"
