[Nfb-idaho] Bureau of Educational Services Board

The Bureau of Educational Services for the Deaf and Blind (IBESDB) has its own governot-appointed oard and held its first meeting on July 27, 2009.  Several of us attended.  Mary Dun has retired and Aylee Schaefer has been hired as interum director.  They will vote on the 2010 budget at the next meeting.  Here is the list of the Board and a little about them.

Tom Luna                         Superintendent of Public Instruction                           Originally appointed on July 1, 2009          This position will not expire and will always be filled by the Superintendent of Public Instruction
 
Teresa Fritsch     Specialized/Certified Personnel                                 Originally appointed on July 1, 2009          Position Expires July 1, 2012        Grew up in Illinois and is a school psychologist.
 
Ramona Lee                     Director of Special Education                                   Originally appointed on July 1, 2009              Position Expires July 1, 2011        She is a special education director in Fruitland.
 
Laura Bondurant Parent of Blind Student                                             Originally appointed on July 1, 2009          Position Expires July 1, 2010        She has two children with visual impairments and is from Mountain Home.
 
Steven Snow       Citizen who is deaf                                                    Originally appointed on July 1, 2009          Position Expires July 1,2012         He is the Executive Director of The Council for Deaf and attended ISDB.
 
Michael Graham Citizen who is Blind                                                  Originally appointed on July 1, 2009          Position Expires July 1, 2010        He is the Director of Vocational Rehabilitation.
 
Jeff Faulkner       Member At-Large                                                                   Originally appointed on July 1, 2009              Position Expires July 1, 2011        He is from Gooding and knew students who attended ISDB.
 
Mark Falconer    Member At-Large                                                                   Originally appointed on July 1, 2009              Position Expires July 1, 2011        He is an Idahoan businessman and has three uncles that attended ISDB.
