Subject: NFB Luncheon thanks

Dear Senator Heider, I just want to thank you for attending the National
Federation of the Blind of Idaho luncheon yesterday. It was my pleasure to
have you at my table. I hope you got a sense of the importance of the
government services that service the blind in Idaho. Even though I moved
here from Wisconsin, I can attest to the importance of rehab services. I
had to quit dairy farming because I went blind and at the age of 39, I
thought my life was pretty much over. The rehab agency in Wisconsin,
determine my useable skills and I was admitted into the Randolph Sheppard
vending program which allowed me to become a taxpayer again. I retired
from that program at the age of 64 and did only because my college
driver/helper was moving on and I had no intention to find and train another
person. So if you ever have any questions, please don't hesitate to ask one
of the NFB members. Thank you, Larry Sebranek
