Never click on a message that doesn't make sense. Why would Russell be
sending a confidential message to a public list?

Good morning,

I believe, after googling, that 3generationtreeservice.com is a parked
domain, adding to the suspicion of the document. Unfortunately, I too
agree that the email is suspicious (unintentionally, of course,) but no
one should click on it.

I also think that this is a great reminder to us all, and for those that
are unaware, viruses, malware, and other harmful activities are spread
this way. This file could be a number of things, all of them bad for
you. They could cause hidden programs to be installed, take you to
legitimate looking websites that save your login information so they may
log into the legitimate website (This is called fishing), install a
virus that may cause issues on your computer, or a majority of other
things that would be too lengthy to write about here.

Please use caution. If something seems out of the ordinary, it probably
is. If you are unaware if something is on the up and up, doing a quick
google search on the website may aid you. If you are not confident in
that, here also is the option of simply asking the sender if they are
aware they sent you something and explaining the situation -- if they
are familiar/have used the service before. When in doubt, always ask!
Someone will be able to provide an answer.

Take care, guys and I will be sending an email to Russell letting him
know what he sent, just in case he is unaware (yes, email spoofing can
happen quite easily).

Regards,

Tj
