Dana,
I would be interested unless they choose the few days in am going to be gone
in early February.
Also, We have some very gently used print/braille books. Would they want
those or do they want brand new only?

Subject: [NFB-Idaho] project to increase the number of twin vision books in
the IESDB library
Our Central Idaho Chapter president, Mai Nguyen and the librarian at the
school for the blind are working on a project to increase the number of twin
vision books in the school's library. The braille will be done at the school
through the Duxbury program, but proofreaders are needed to be sure the
braille is correct. Mai has proposed a project where NFB braille readers
would get together for a day at the school to do the proofreading. They want
to add 100 books this year. She would like to do this project in late
January or February. She will try to work out transportation for the
volunteers. People should have some familiarity with ueb braille, but
because these books are very elementary, it shouldn't be too technical. If
you are a braille reader and may be interested, please let me know. Both Mai
and Shar, the librarian, are excited to get our National Federation of the
Blind of Idaho members involved in helping students have more braille.

"The National Federation of the Blind knows that blindness is not the
characteristic that defines you or your future. Every day we raise the
expectations of blind people, because low expectations create obstacles
between blind people and our dreams. You can live the life you want;
Blindness is not what holds you back."
