I hope you will speak about this and inspire others at our 2022 convention.
You might be able to speak at the national convention and certainly write an
article for the Braille Monitor.

Subject: [NFB-Idaho] Erin Olsen is taking on her Everest

Next week, I am off to Colorado to participate in the What's Your Everest
event. It is a fundraising event for No barriers, the organization started
by Erik Weihenmayer, the first blind person to summit mt. Everest. I
remember kevin jhernigan, my O&M instructor telling me about him when I
asked if and how blind people navigated "off road" back during my blind
classes at ICBVI. Now, here I am, participating in an event for Erik's
organization that provides experiences for people with disabilities
including veterans and children. Who would have thought?! I know being able
to be mobile, not just around town but in nature, where I enjoy being, has
made the world of difference in my life. I hope you find my experiences
informative and inspiring. If you are able, please support No Barriers while
I take on my own Everest in Colorado on 8/28! Thank you for your support!
