The 2021 convention of the National Federation of the Blind of Idaho will
be held March 25-27as a virtual convention using the Zoom platform. This
means that it is available to all interested persons anywhere and
everywhere.

In addition to our regular updates from The Idaho Educational Services for
the Deaf and Blind, The Talking Book Library, and The Idaho Commission for
the blind, We will also learn about our Idaho laws that protect the rights
of blind parents, enjoy panels of individuals talking about science for the
blind, gardening as a blind person, employment opportunities, and new
Federationists who will share their stories and why they have decided to
join our Federation Family.

We will also have a workshop for parents of blind children, with Carlton
Walker, president of the National Organization of Parents of Blind
Children, as the key presenter. We will have break-out sessions from the
Northwest Association for Blind Athletes, a philosophy session utilizing
articles from our flag ship publication “The Braille Monitor and special
activities on Friday evening. We will have our fabulous virtual banquet
which includes a speech by our national representative and our 2021
scholarship class, and an auction which will help us match a $5000 donation
given by our state president in memory of her recently deceased husband
Mike Ard.
