The NFB of Idaho Treasure Valley Chapter is welcoming all Idaho Federationists to raise money for our state affiliate by bicycling! Our annual fundraiser, the Cycle for Independence, is virtual this year meaning bike riders from around the state can participate in their own hometowns. Call a couple of friends, register, and ride!
All money raised from riders outside of the Boise area
will be sent directly our state treasury!
Here’s how it works. Annually our bike ride has had over 400 riders come to Boise to ride in either a 10 mile or a 20 mile or a Metric Century course. Money is raised through each participant paying a registration fee. All of these folks are paying to ride their own bikes for they know they are part of a happening, they are a part of the festival, they are contributing. But because of lingering COVID 19 concerns, we can only get together virtually.
That’s where you come in. That’s why we can invite all Federationists from across Idaho to join. Riders can choose their date, their distance, ride it anywhere and share their rides on our web site; sharing our biking experiences is a way we can still commune across the state in 2021.
The entry fee is $35.00. Fee includes a pair of our FAMOUS SOCKS--I’ll mail a pair to your home address upon request. Tandem captains are free and I’ll mail them socks also. Participants can register by going to cycleforindependence.org and clicking on REGISTER NOW. That’s all you have to do to raise money for our state affiliate!
All money goes directly to NFB of Idaho
