Thought this might be of interest. I know that some of us, me included, continue to benefit from older technology.

Subject: Braille displays for long-term loan from IATP

Dana,

IATP has a handful of braille displays and note takers that have not been borrowed from the lending library for quite a while, and that are out of date for most VR and school based demonstrations or loans, that they are prepared to put on long-term loan to community members.

Can you think of anyone who might be interested in borrowing these devices?

Nick or I could browse the library with anyone who isn't comfortable using the online www.idaho.at4all.com <http://www.idaho.at4all.com> website to browse available devices or to create an account and request an item.

We would also appreciate community feedback on what devices are popular, what devices people might request for short-term loan while their own personal devices are being repaired, or devices they might want to try for a while before they spend a considerable sum on a personal device. This information helps IATP stockthe lending library with the tools and resources the community might really need/use. The demos at convention vender halls can be nice, but having a device in your home, at no cost to you, for 30 days before you spend thousands, is incredibly valuable - and this is a resource IATP can help support.
