The last I knew accessible pharmacy was seeking approval to serve Idaho. I don't know where that is now, but I've been going to look into it.

So far, Erin is the only one to indicate any familiarity with the CVS
"SpokenRX" service. From that it seems that CVS isn't doing a very good job
of advertising the service to people who could use it!

Here is another accessible pharmacy service called (amazingly enough)
"Accessible
Pharmacy <https://www.accessiblepharmacy.com/>." This one is entirely
online. I think I remember some of our members indicating that they have
used this service. If you have used that service please let me know how
well it has met your needs.

I am curious about these services for two reasons.

First, NFB's legislative work is introducing an effort to pass laws in each
State that require pharmacies to make their services accessible, and
knowing what services aim to provide accessibility is one small part of
understanding how we can approach legislators in Idaho.

Second, I am investigating the possibility of approaching area pharmacies
with the aim of contracting with them to provide braille and large print
materials supporting their services. This would be an expansion of the
services offered by my non-profit braille-production company named "Handid
Braille Services <https://www.handid.org>." Before I could approach
pharmacies with this idea, I will have to do a substantive amount of work
to show compliance with requirements of the HIPAA law regarding protection
of health information. If I can determine that no existing services
actually meet the needs of people who are blind and low-vision in Idaho,
then this preparatory work would be worth it.

Together, I could then help with NFB's legislative efforts, the Idaho
Affiliate's efforts here in Idaho, and help fulfill the needs of citizens
in Idaho!
