Hours must be submitted by Sunday, January 5, in order to count. These are
very important, as our national office can use these for in-kind service and
other purposes. If you do significant volunteer work for the NFB, you should
be submitting the form.

Dear Dana,
This is your monthly reminder regarding the NFB donated services program.
You can use this link to complete the online form.
<https://nfb.org/civicrm/mailing/url?u=37034&qid=10824958> Please submit
all hours from 2024 as soon as possible. Any hours submitted after Sunday,
January 5th will not be counted.
You should report any non-paid time which you give to NFB work, including
working at events, attending meetings, helping blind people, etc. Examples
include:
* Sending emails for outreach and membership building
* Making phone calls that assist others, build membership, or obtain
funding
* Managing the treasury
* Attending board and committee meetings
* Helping to plan seminars, conventions, trainings, etc.
* Working during a convention or chapter meeting
* Zoom hosting
* Web content development or drafting articles for newsletters
You should not report purely social events or conventions that you simply
attended with no work involved.
We appreciate you taking the time out of your busy schedule to record your
volunteer hours each month as well as all of the work you do on behalf of
this organization.
If you have questions or need further instructions, please contact Belinda
Hooks via email at bhooks at nfb.org
<https://nfb.org/civicrm/mailing/url?u=37035&qid=10824958> or call
410-659-9314, extension 2508.
The National Federation of the Blind knows that blindness is not the
characteristic that defines you or your future. Every day we raise the
expectations of blind people, because low expectations create obstacles
between blind people and our dreams. You can live the life you want;
blindness is not what holds you back.
Make a gift <https://nfb.org/civicrm/mailing/url?u=37036&qid=10824958> to
the National Federation of the Blind and help ensure all blind people live
the lives they want.
Thank you!
