Federation Family,

I received your bereavement card today. Thank you! I am so grateful to be
part of NFB with you all.

My mother was 91 and lived the life she wanted until the last few weeks. We
are buoyed by the fact that she had so many good days almost until the end.
She was an idealist in life but grew very pragmatic over the past few years
and we spent time planning for her eventual passing. Memory of those
conversations was oddly comforting at the end. She gave lessons in living
and, eventually, lessons on how to approach death head on and without
regrets.
