[Nfb-krafters-korner] What is your krafty New Years Resolution

LOL -- well don't forget half finished projects. Way back when I decided to
create my own pattern for a stuffed giraffe, and it actually went together
well and was/is quite cute, and it's big--would stand about 4 feet when
done. But I ran into one little snag: I sewed everything including the head
with all its detail and the body, only to find that I hadn't left enough
slack in the "arm pits" of the thing. What it really needed was 4 little
gussets so the legs weren't so close to each other underneath. I put it in
my closet and it has travelled around the country with me every time we have
moved -- couldn't bear to throw it away, it is so cute, but I seriously
doubt it's going to get finished. It is made from faux fur and the spots
are drawn on with a marking pen--probably not something I'd want a small
child to ingest, but there just isn't furry material with giraffe spots on
the market anywhere.
Anyone else have a project in the closet that you really want to finish but
probably won't--but maybe, just maybe you will, so you keep it...?
Happy crafting.

As I am a Psych major, I have found that many of us krafty people are also
right-brained, that is, we have more than one thing started at once, many
unfinished before another one is begun.
It is nothing to be ashamed of, as a matter of fact, I enjoy being able to
tell people that I am "right-brained" It keeps them guessing.
Here's an acronym for the new year...
SABLE..It stands for
Stash
Accumulated
Beyond
Life
Expectancy
I know many of us have this problem too!
Your stash can be fabric, yarn, beads, clay, anything!
Maybe a Friday question could be, what is in your stash?
I'll start...
1) Fabric
2) yarn
3) beads
4) clay
5) ceramic glazes
