[Nfb-krafters-korner] KK Website includes RE: HowManyDifferentCrafts?

I agree that a link to www.loc.gov/nls would be preferrable to trying to
maintain a list on the web page.
I do however, think there is nothing wrong with recommending a book that is
written in a way that is accessible to blind readers. This isn't a stamp of
approval so much as a note from experience.
Of course, there are also books that you recommend for other reasons
altogether. If you want to have a book review list, the contributors could
mention whether the book is blind friendly, or just praise it for some other
reason. There may be many books on one craft, such as knitting, but some
books may just have more descriptive text and fewer pictures, which would
drive a sightling crazy but would be good for a blind reader.

Oh well -- is this going to bring out any soapboxes?
Happy crafting.

HowManyDifferentCrafts?

Thanks for the suggestion. Also, my intention was never to give a book a
blindness stamp of approval. I was only interested in a way for people to
find things in accessible formats.

The other idea I had, was if KK could contact NLS to make corrections to
listing categories. Joyce has already requested the contact information so
this is already taken care of.

It is good to hear people's opinions.
