I found this in my drafts folder.  I wonder if it ever got to the group?
I wondered why this person never became a member.  I may have put it
there for safe keeping.

When I came across my plastic canvis book, I wrote, I also found a
listing of books that are brailled and sold by;

She has many books in braille on knitting and crochet.  We used to write
to each other, long ago.  I think she would be a big pluss to the group.

I don't think we have much trouble getting patterns into large type
because if we can scan it into our computers or get a file with the
pattern we can enlarge or use our screenreading programs for that.
 
I also have taken a pattern and recorded it onto a tape recorder with my
screenreading program reading the pattern for me.
 
The problems lie more with patterns being put into Braille for those who
read Braille and not everyone has that talent down pat.  
 
It really lies  more with charts which has become so popular in  pattern
books these days.  I believe they do this to save space for print,  but
it leaves many of us totally out of this loop.  As our special programs
read text and not symbols or graphic type of things.
 
I thank you Marion for bringing the attention of this to some of the
pattern folks out there.
