Good luck with the challenge and let me know if you have any other questions for me.

I am going to be doing plastic canvis in the future, that is why I am interested in this. I would like to put it on the computer and also offer it to those in the crafters group as a downloadable file for their stream.
Until Dar came up with this question, the thought never even crossed my mind.
I think we all should put this to rest until one of us is ready to take on the chalange.
Thanks for all the advice.
I am willing to take on the chalange, but it will not be for a while.

Terry and Dar, I'm sure Steve or I would be in a better position to help if you could email one of us a knitting pattern sample. Are you working with something that already exists or that you are creating? If you send an attachment with an example, please do so off-list.

Steve;
That is what we want to do, but how will the stream know when the line ends, with a period, a blank line, what? There is no line brake like on the braille note.
Guess if she does it in a recording, she could put a pause and say line and the number. I would go with the text and use periods or blank lines.

If the pattern is in a text file, you can move line by line while reading with the stream, navigate to the line reading option by using either key 8 or 2 on the stream, then use key 6 to move down the text one line, and key 4 to move up the text, backwards that is, one line.

That might work.

Steve
