I'm interested in taking this class.  Not having ever done this before, and
being not to smart about selecting the "Center core" Material, where, or in
what kind of store,  can I purchase a flexible rope under ½ inch thick,
cording thread or plastic covered close line rope?

Wrapped Basket Weaving Class
This class will teach the beginner on the basics of wrapped or coil basket
weaving. It will teach the student to experiment using different materials
for
both the wrap and core materials. The possibilities are endless with
different colors and textures waiting to be made into baskets.

Materials Needed:

Yarn needle

Scissors

Wrapping or coiling yarn: Yarn can be either two strands of yarn for color
combinations or used for added sturdiness.

Center core Material: This can be a flexible rope under ½ inch thick,
cording thread or plastic covered close line rope. Length is difficult to
estimate,
but is always to have too much then not enough. You can add to the  core if
you run out.
