Hi Terry --
I have a question: I am looking at the broad expanse of red and green
squares on one side of my plastic canvas tissue box cover, and I was
thinking it would be quite natural to have one side be different -- I mean,
put the squares as usual around the outside but in the center, do a simple
picture, like a wrapped package or something. It just looks wrong to have
all 4 sides look identical. Anyway, I'm playing around with patterns -- I
like being creative, but I've given up on finishing this in time to ship for
Christmas. I don't know what I'll do with a red and green tissue box cover
and coasters any other time of year, but I just don't have time to finish
it -- Christmas day is just 8 days away!!!! Oh dear!
It was kind of funny: I was going to send my box cover to my sister-in-law
who has allergies to everything, especially my perfume, so she could think
of me every time she pulled a tissue to blow her nose...
I'm having great fun with plastic canvas.
I also took Laurie's advice and put 2 threads through the base circle of
beads on the snowflake, so they wouldn't come apart so easily. And it
actually worked! Fixed my problem. Now I have to work on beading as well.
However, my fingers are too bent out of shape from arthritis to do anything
too intricate with tiny beads -- I can't get my pointer fingers to behave
themselves. So that will have to be a one-time kraft. If I figure out how
to work around the bad joints in my fingers I may do more beading, but it is
not worth doing them for Christmas. (It's not a matter of pain, but of my
joints not bending the way they should.)
Did anyone look at my crocheted hat pattern?
Happy krafting all.

Subject: [Nfb-krafters-korner] class tonight
Do we need to have our third plastic canvis class tonight. those there last
week, let me know, please.
We will repeat the coaster class and cubic cleanex box for the new comers
and anyone who wants a refresser class.
We will discuss this after the holidays. Hold on to your kits.
Have a Happy Holiday, everyone!
I am using my beading talent to make bracelets for Christmas and making
another gift out of plastic canvis.
I have a lot of ideas in the back of my mind for both areas, it is just find
the time to try them.
