howdie Folks::

I was inspired by posts from list members who would like to learn beadwork to hold the following class:

This class is a beginner beading class on the Ladder Stitch technique. We'll be making a simple bracelet with 2 colors of seed beads and a toggle clasp. this technique can be taught in one class . So come join us on February 12 2009 at 7pm central at the folowing number 610 404 9100 and the code is 27238.

Here is what you'll need:

1. 2 tubes 5 grams seed beads in 2 of your favorite colors. size 6 or smaller.

2. beading thread in a nutral color such as braided fishing line such as Power pro or Fireline that is a 10 pound test for size 6 seed beads.

3. 1 Big Eye beading needle

4. a  small toggle clasp.

You can purchase these supplies from www.fusionbeads.com. theyy offer free shipping or any large craft chain such as hobby lobby, michaels, etc.

This class will introduce everyone to the word chart method which is a row by row listing of a 2 colored beading pattern. Mastering of this stitch will allow you to move on to more advanced stitches such as Haringbone, and a popular native American stitch known as Comanchi or brick stitch.

Please email me at freespirit1 at tds.net so I can send you the introductory materials that we'll be going over in class.

Thanks,

Laurie
