[Nfb-krafters-korner] Knitting query regarding casting on.

Annette, many thanks for the tip regarding casting on, what a great way to
solve this problem. Though, today, I had someone look at my work  while I
was doing some casting on, and I think it is not all my fault as my friend
tells me the wool or mix of yarn is a sort that grabs and doesn't pull
though easily between stitches.  This yarn is what I have been using for the
last few projects, glad to know it is not all my fault for C. O.  too
tightly. . 
Many thanks for the tip, it will be a real help for any future projects. 

Annette, you seem like you do a lot of knitting, I'm hoping to do the same
now I have had some practice  working on the hat pattern, which is a great
way to get started again.

You might want to try holding a second needle together with the end of the
circular needle where you are casting stitches onto.  This could be a
straight needle.  When you are done casting on, you just pull the second
needle out and you are left with larger stitches.  

I work with interchangeable circular needles, so I just use needle points
that are 2 or 3 sizes up from the size I plan to use for the project.

Hello Joyce and all on list, I've a question regarding knitting to do with
casting on. I seem to always have the same problem with casting on, with the
circular needles. After C.O., I find the next row is so difficult to knit as
the stitches are so firm and tight on the needle,  it is almost impossible
to push the needle through to knit that row. I try to loosely cast on, but
is this something that might occur with circular knitting or is there a
trick to make that next row easier?   I use needle casting on. Thanks.
