[Nfb-krafters-korner] Knitting in stripes

Valerie, if the bag idea works, then maybe we can come up with a knitted,
crocheted or sewn bag that has multiple pouches.

I've always said that I was going to make a yarn bag to hang from my wrist.
This was popular at some point in history. Maybe I can find that pattern
and adapt it so that it can have multiple pouches.

Annette

Annette, Yes, that is how the scarf is knitted. Thank you, that sounds a
real solution. We do have zip lock bags here, actually I have some in the
kitchen drawer at present.
Many thaks for your help with this. Valerie

Based on what you wrote, am I correct in thinking that you are knitting a
section of each color on each row? If this is the case, I'm wondering if
you stapled 3 plastic bags together side by side and placed one ball of yarn
in each. When you turn your work around to knit back in the other
direction, you would also need to turn the yarn holding contraption. Do you
have ZipLock bags where you are? I like using them to hold yarn as I can
partially close the bag to prevent the yarn from falling out while allowing
the yarn to come out as I need it.

HTH,
Annette

I have a pattern that is striped The pattern is for a scarf and the stripes
run lengthwise,, three bands of colour down the length of the scarf. Are
there any hints as to how to keep the balls from becoming tangled as you
work? Many thanks Valerie
