Joyce:
I've written up material in the past, especially on the beginner knitting
class because it helped me word my explanations. It was my choosing to do
it that way. If I was forced into having to write materials I probably
would not teach classes. It is A LOT of work. It should remain optional
for an instructor to provide this documentation. Keep in mind that people
volunteer to teach these classes and forcing them to write documentation
makes it like a job ... too much work and time out of their lives and
schedules. This is especially the case with having to keep track of people
signing up for class, getting that info to you and making sure people have
paid dues all added to normal preparation for a class.
Besides, people can take their own notes from the recordings that's the
point of making the recordings and why its important to get the recordings
working properly.
