[Nfb-krafters-korner] For Those Making Rugs/Mats.

When I made slippers a long time ago I posted to this site another solution for making non-slip surfaces on slipper, PJ feet, and rugs.  Go to WalMart, Home Depot or Lowes and buy a roll of rubber grid shelf liner and as Becky says sew it on the bottom of your project. In Home Depot or Lowes you'll find it in the kitchen cabinet aisle. It's right there with the shelf paper for lining your cabinets.  It's a rubber grid feeling product to prevent breakage of your fine china, etc. You can even line your refrig with it to prevent glass bottle breakage.

There is also kind of a rubber woffle you can buy at Wal-Mart you sow to the
bottoms of rugs that help make them non skid.  You do not have to be a neat
sower. You are more like attaching the woffle with wip stitches. Is wip
stitches the right term for large not totally uniform stitches made with a
needle and thread.  You want the woffle a bit smaller then the rug you made
Then sow around then through the middle, cris cross.  Just have tons of fun
sticking it on, lol.

Becky and Jake who tries to get his big paws into the sowing, grin.

Hmmm, that sure sounds worth checking out. I will try it on a rug
