Hi Terrence:

Glad you're making progress.  Keep practicing and don't just stop after 1 
row and pull it all out.  Try to keep it going and knit 10 or more rows. 
Also, remember to try casting on more like 20 stitches rather than only 10 
and see if that too helps to even out your stitching.
