Since you are standing over the stove and stirring it there is a heat proof 
 handle on the waxz pouring pot that you hold onto.  The fry pan is large  
enough that you don't move that around and you don't put the fire up to  
high.  It does not take long to melt the wax.  At least the waxz type  that I 
use.
