I do teach it, when we actually have students who are interested in
it.  Just for doing Braille drawings, you mostly just need to know the
individual symbols; you probably won't run into instructions that
include "although" or "altogether" etc.  That being said, for actually
learning Grade 2 for general reading, I strongly recommend that you
find a course in Braille; there are a lot of little nuances that just
looking at a chart won't give you.
