Well, I have several looms ranging from 1 foot up to 7 feet across the
hypotenuse of the triangle. They are made of wood and some have nails on the
3 sides, but my larger ones have wooden pegs. The standard spacing is 1/2
inch apart across the hypotenuse and about 3/8 inch apart going down the 2
sides. That is the spacing between center of pegs or nails. Now the cool
thing is if you know anything about weaving you usually have to put the
yarn on a loom top to bottom and then you weave side to side. Again this is
the cool part of a triangle loom You use one continuous strand of yarn and
when you weave it, you actually are creating your weft and oops help me
out Dixie weft and weave[that doesn't sound right][well the up and down and
back and forth] being created. When you do need to add another ball of
yarn there is a way to do that. It makes shawls on the large one or blankets
if you sew 2 triangles together. I love to do pocket books on the 3 foot
loom. You fold the triangle like an envelope to make them. I have taught
the Girl Scouts how to do it on the 12 inche loom and they made change
purses.

You learn something new every day or it is a wasted day! That is what I
told my kids when they were growing up. is
