Hi,
Interesting how some others don't want us to use our canes.  When I first 
started using one I got comments like "you don't need it while I'm here to 
help you" and "your cane is in the way."  I remember one time when we did a 
group picture and some didn't want my former husband's and my cane in the 
picture.  I always have mine with me now whether people like it or not.  It 
really isn't their place to tell us what to do or not do with our canes.
