Maybe I will make it a birthday gift to myself.  I have bills aned money is rather tight.  Right now I need clothes.  I have lost enough weight that a lot of my clothes are to large!  As they say, first things first.  We shall  see what Santa brings.  I already got a Jacket from a friend, 2 sizes smaller than what I was waring! 
Merry Christmas, Happy New Year and all stay well. I will be away after today, until Monday. Four days off!

They can break, but the company like most of the companies that make the interchangeable sets are very reliable and I am sure they will replace my cable.  Even though the cable broke they are by far the best needles I've ever knit with and I think they are the only way to go.  It's taken me 20 years of knitting to finally get to the point where I've figured out how to get them fixed up -- I'm a slow learner.  Remember, nothing lasts for ever and most things do break down over time.  I can't give the interchangeable needle sets high enough praise even if they do have minor issues.  My sets get a good workout so I am not upset with the needles.
