That is what makes it a "hand knit" when you can feel the yarn and feel the 
bumpiness of it. A hand knitted item does not feel like a mass produced 
item, usually.

It is the same thing with my pottery. When you touch it, you can feel the 
clay and the glazes, and they feel so wonderful you just want to keep 
touching them. I gave pottery for Christmas gifts to my family members, and 
when they opened them they just kept running their hand over the piece, 
feeling it.  They are sensuous and you will never find this kind of tactile 
effect on mass produced pottery. They would say "OH, it FEELs so good."

Hand made items feel so good, when you make them and when they are finished.
