It is beautiful reading over these nice stories, again. I have one to tell. A friend and I surprized another needy friend and her husband with a membership to Sams. If you do not know, it is a food store where you can buy in bulk for less. Many businesses use it and families too. I get about 30 cerial bars, where in a regular store, I would pay almost the same for 12!
I just bought a small freezer so I can buy meat and vegies in large bags and save a lot, 5 pounds of vegies for about $5. I get a big container of grapes, enough for a week for about $5. They sell other things like office supplies, meds...

Subject: [Nfb-krafters-korner] I did it again...

Last year I told y'all how I started to be a Thanksgiving Angel, going to King Soopers, finding an unsuspecting subject, handing the cashier $20, unsuspectingly paying for their groceries.
Well, last night, I struck again.
A woman I work with entered King Soopers, but I thought she would surely know who did it, so I found a woman and her little boy. For some reason, I doubled the amount this year and handed the cashier $40.
When the woman was done checking out the cashier said "your total is $63.32 and I have $40 in cash here to use towards your purchase." The woman replied "I don't know where the cash came from" and the cashier replied "I was told to use this cash towards your order". "Oh my God, I'm going to cry", she replied (just the reaction I was hoping for!) The good thing about King Soopers is that they are set up so you don't have to see the next person in line behind you if you don't, so she never knew it was me.
As this holiday season is going to be extra hard for me due to the death of my Grandma, I am at peace knowing I paid all of my Grandmas kindness forward. Please do the same.
Happy Holidays,
Di
