[Nfb-krafters-korner] Special Valentine's Class

Anybody there???  I need to know how to read the pattern for tonight.  

First of all when it says to cast on 4, is my chain stitch considered 1?  So I really only cast on 3 or Not?

Then, in Row 2 it says,  k2, yo, knit across.  Does that mean to knit 2, yarn over, knit, knit, until you finish all the stitches on the row?  Or, does it mean to knit 2, yo, knit 2, yo, knit 2 etc. until you finish the row.

For the next 2 weeks we will not have our Monday Night Chats.  We will  be 
having a Special Knitting Class.  Come and learn how to make a Grandma's  
Heart Dishcloth .  This willtake place at 8 p.m. Eastern time at 
610 404 9100 code 2 7 2 3 8 
 
You do not have to sign up forr the class, but we will be starting at 8:15  
p.m. so please be on time.
 
Karla would like you to get started before you come to the class and below  
you will find part of the directions.  If you have any trouble or don't  
know how to do the yarn overs[increase stitches], come to the class at 8 P.M.  
and she will go over that with you between 8 p.m. and 8:15 p.m.
 
 
Needle:  #, 7 or size 8
Yarn: 100% cotton worstered weight  Solid color is  suggested

Cast  on 4
Row 1 knit
Row 2 k2, yo, knit across

Repeat  Row 2 until you have 28 stitches
 
Please have this much done prior to the beginning of  class.
