[Nfb-krafters-korner] Cro hooking

Susan:

Are the cro-hooks attached by a cable, like a circular needle for knitting? 
I think I bought a pair of Susan Bates cro-hooks a number of years ago and 
used them, again, for picking up stitches in my knitting.  Does cro-hooking 
require a lot of crochet experience?  The reversible scarf sounds 
interesting.
