I can tell you all about cro hooking.  I just learned how to do it New Years
Eve.  It is wonderful.  You use two different colors of yarn and you make a
crochetted/knitted looking piece that is reversable.  For instance, I am
using red and white yarn.  One side is a wide stripe of red and a narrow one
of white and the reverse side is wide white strip with a narrow one of red. 
This yarn was given to me by the Webb of Hope, red with a silver thread and
white with a silver thread so I decided to use it for the double sided scarf
using cro hooking to work out how to use the hook and unique hooking
technique before I tackled the baby layett that came with my two needles. 
It took me a bit to get the hang of it, but my scarf is already 3 feet long
and moving along quite nicely.

I had the hooks for quite some time, but had not taken the time to sit still
long enough to learn what they were used for.  So, my new years Resolution
was to do something different with my crafting.  I learned to cro hook and I
knitted a new pattern for a baby cardigan.
