One of my rectangular looms is made of wood and you wrap it with the figure
eight method across the gap that runs the inside length of the loom. This
loom is also called a knitting rake. I picked it up as a kit from one of
the colonial houses in Virginia Beach when we lived down there. The house
was called Lynnhaven House. That was my first knitting loom to learn on.
