Hello Laura,

Sorry I had to drop out early, phone was beeping and soon ran out of power. I hope that you told everyone about what the half square knot does? Making a belt like you were having them do, but now only use half square knots makes it swirl round and feel like a corkscrew. It makes unusual belts, thiner string bracelets, necklaces, keyrings etc.

Like Laura told you, if making any of these things have the length of string four times the finished projects length. Keyrings are great because you make a small overhand knot around the keyring and macrame away. Do half square knots and once in awhile when the four strings are as flat as you can make them, throw in a few square knots and maybe a bead or two with more full square knots and back to the half. You can play around and design your own keyrings, I've done thousands and not two were exactly the same. If you like the feel of the twisting half knots, add beads every twist. If you find a thin enough string buy glass beads that you can put all four strings through.

If I can help get the right size string and glass beads, please write me back and I will see if my wife will take me to the craft store in town.

Lovenergy,
Joe

P.s. create and enjoy your creativeness.
