Hi Joe;
I know what you mean. I have had epelepsi since I was a teanager. This group has been very helpful, because I also have a short term memory and many a time do not catch on to a craft, right a way. With beading, I use beads, a bit larger than the others, because of my shakyness and a little trouble grasping and holding them. With out my will to continue and finding friends at work to help out, I would not be making the helmit liner for the men at war. It has been a struggle, but I did not give up. I like to keep my hands busy while listening to the tv or books. I even do it on the bus, some times. It is a way of showing off my plastic canvis, to the public and getting my work done. Maybe I will take up the knotting next time, but with getting my projects ready for convention and the knitting, it was just to much to handle, right now.
Keep up the positive aditude!
There is always more out there for a blind crafter to learn. You and all the other new comers have come to the right place. Welcome all!

Hi Guys,

Is it okay to call women guys?

I've got a book and mp3 in production and am not able to listen too much to this listserve darn it. Answering even more difficult. Getting the string size and glass bead size at Handicraft store. I bought about two thousand spools of nylon at Oddlots, found glass bead that fit idealy at craftstore. I have found very nice thin string four different colors on a piece of cardboard. Natural color, so all go together. Marame knots are great seeing and/or feeling. Even better when colors mix and are interlaced to make all different color show in different places. I've done even 8 string half squares and after going an inch or two dividing and mixing colors. Leaving bare strings that show different color too. I don't see now, but have good imagination of different patterns and mixtures of beads, some with even four strings stuffed through the hole. Not to brag, but I've got woven wall hangings in museums that all have macrame cords attached to the dowel holding the hanging. There I go again darn it. I guess though when you get to my age you can brag a little.

What I am telling you is experiment and have fun, the sighted will enjoy your creations. Friends, I should talk with you one night about how you can make some of these keyring, bracelets etc. for now add and subtract number of strings, making keyrings have plulges in the middle.

Please give me time, I will find those strings and glass beads. send me email messages and I will even buy you some, and let you know cost first.

Forgive me please, I haven't told you, but I had a serious brain hemorrhage and it has badly damaged my short term memory, so I might have told you "Guys" some of this already, can't remember.

Lovenergy,
Joe
