[Nfb-krafters-korner] bar code scanner

My id omni is used both at home and work. At home for the obvious, like
cooking engredients, and at work to identify various pet foods and
medications.
I also have a tag attached to my acrilic paint set listing the colors in
order.

Mine is an ID Mate Omni bar code scanner. You can have the bar code going
any way at all, it will read it. Mine is small enough and has a strap to go
around your neck to leave you hands free when shopping, except when you are
ready to use it.
You can use it for identifying anything at all. If the item does not have a
bar code on it, you can put one there. Such as in your craft room, to
identify your beads, etc. You can scan your canned goods in your cupboard
and find what you want. It even gives nutritional information. To ID your
CDs it will even give you each song on the CD and each track. You can
identify your clothing as it comes with iron on lables, too. They can be
washed over 50 times without being undreadable, according to the
manufacturer. You can use it for making memos, and then erase them later on.

Lke your grocery list, address list, phone numbers, etc. It really is an
amazing piece of equipment. And it only has five buttons to deal with, and
that is great for a low techie like me to use.
